Google sets up in Malaga
Google, the American technology giant, has expanded its European footprint by setting up its new engineering center dedicated to cybersecurity in Malaga, Andalusia. Having already established similar centers in Munich and Berlin, Google has chosen a 2,500 square-meter former military administration building to house its activities. The company aims to make this center Europe’s most important in the field.
Strategically located, it will be the scene of the development of programs to counter online threats, as well as research and development in cybersecurity. It will also serve as a training platform to address the shortage of cybersecurity experts in Europe, estimated at almost 200,000 people according to Google.
